I Have Been in the Dark Ages

I honestly hadn't heard of this book until just a few months ago.. I guess it has been out for a while now. I hear it is big "Out West", but not so much here (apparently). I hit Borders bookstore yesterday and bought the paperback for $10.99. I started last night about 11pm and finished it up around 2:30 am. Not bad for amost 500 pages. There are three more to read in the series.Good book and I hear a movie is coming out. However my almost 14 year old son, doesn't seem too interested in reading it.
What is interesting, this book rings true on so many levels. I remember what it was like to be a teenage girl "so in love" that I couldn't breathe, when he (first love) was away. I also remember dating the "forbidden fruit", of which now I am married to. However my forbidden fruit turned out to be all good in the end. Those feelings are intense in teenagedom and then we all move into reality (out of necessity), we look back and either laugh at ourselves or shake our heads in disbelief. I laugh now at how i visualized the fairy tale. I have all the components I wished for a tall, basketball playing man, five kids, a nursing license and a residence outside of Idaho. Back then I had no idea how hard it all really is.. That a fairy tale must be constantly worked on and fine tuned.

I was thinking about you earlier today and dr. appt.

And I can't BELIEVE you haven't heard of or read these books!! (But I'm "out west.") They're so great. Completely addicting. And they just get better and better. I bought them, and I NEVER buy books! I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

The author's official site is stepheniemeyer.com and there's all kinds of fun things there. Chapters to additional books, playlists of music she listened to as she wrote the book, and MOVIE TRAILERS!! I'm so glad you're part of the addictive phenomena that is Twilight!

(I sound really weird and fanatical. I'm not. These books are just THAT GOOD.)

Yay!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad.
That's the only problem with reading them.. You can't put them down...

The 2nd book was my least favorite, and a few times I wanted to throw it accross the room. Hang on to it, and keep going. Not everyone feels like that, but just in case...

I had my husband read them ( after ALOT of begging ) and it made our marriage only better. I know that sounds weird, but he said to me after reading twilight " IS this how Women view romance?" And I was like "YES!!" He was a changed man after that.. She just has a way of writing that can take anyone in...
My husband was prince charming before.. just more Edwardish.... in the good ways... :)

I can't believe you can do so many blogs! I wasn't even sure which one to go to.. You must be an amazing multi-tasker woman!!

Good luck with the results...
